These terms govern use of the KitCompliance website and software at kitcompliance.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are buying for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
This is a working set of product terms, not a negotiated enterprise contract. Organisations that need a signed DPA, SLA or liability cap should contact us before relying on the service for regulated records.
The service
KitCompliance is software for recording first-aid kits, inspections, equipment, training certificates and related workplace records. Blog articles and docs are general information about UK first-aid practice. They are not legal advice, and using the software does not by itself make an organisation compliant with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, RIDDOR, ISO 45001 or any other regime. The employer remains responsible for an adequate needs assessment and for the records the law requires.
Accounts
You must provide an accurate email address and keep credentials secret. You are responsible for activity under your organisation’s accounts. Notify us if you believe an account is compromised. We may suspend access to protect the service or other customers.
Customer data
You retain rights in the records you enter. You grant us a licence to host, back up and display that data solely to provide the service. You must not upload unlawful content, and you must have a lawful basis for any personal or health data you store (including accident-book entries and photos). See the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- probe, overload or disrupt the service except via agreed testing
- bypass plan limits, authentication or signed file links
- use the service to send spam or to store data you have no right to hold
- resell access without a written agreement
Plans and payment
Plan limits (kits, items, users, features) are described on the pricing page and enforced in the product. Paid plans are billed by Stripe. Prices are in GBP; VAT may be added at checkout. Unless a checkout page says otherwise, paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Deleting payment does not automatically delete workplace records; you can export then ask us to erase an account.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available but do not warrant uninterrupted access. We may change features, limits and these terms with notice on this page or by email. Continued use after a change takes effect is acceptance of the new terms.
Liability
The service and the public guides are provided as-is. We are not liable for audit outcomes, HSE enforcement, missed inspections, or loss arising from content you entered incorrectly. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. For any other claim, our liability in a year is limited to the fees you paid us in that year (or £100 if you are on the free plan).
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may still seek injunctive relief elsewhere.
